L'Oréal - Rose Bagatelle

Hey girls,

Today I wanted to show you the last l'Oréal polish that I got. This one is Rose Bagatelle.

It's has a pretty good consistency and I love its brush. It's the same as the french Essie's polishes. A wide brush that allows you to apply your polish smoothly.

And I tried a kind of doubled french mani with Nothing Else Metals :

Do you like it?

What other colors from L'Oréal's Color Riche collection would you recommend me to try?

Bye!

Catrice - King of Greens

Hey there!!

Today I'm showing you one of the polishes Andreia offered me. I love how this green has some gold reflects depending on the lighting.

And here's a little stamping over it :

A England - Dragon & Gradient

Hey girls!

Sorry if I've been a little MIA lately, but I dedicated all my time to my work..! But I'm back!
Today I'm going to show you the last polish that I bought from A England which is Dragon. At a time where most of you are trying to get the wonderful Gothic Beauties, that I unfortunately can't afford right now, I'm still enjoying the wonderful polishes from the Legend's collection.
The little gold shimmers in it make this polish magical! I love it! No, I adore it!!

I couldn't resist trying to make a gradient with his big brother, Saint George!!

I don't know about you but I'm completely dazzled by these colors. They're just amazing!!

For those of you who noticed, yes I'm wearing acrylic nails. I love these because they look so natural. Unless you know it, it's hard to notice that these are false nails. Would you like me to tell you more about these acrylic nails?

Bye !!

Bourjois - Python Top Coat

Bourjois is a brand that I truly cherish, and I've already told you how much I loved their polishes.
Back when I was living in Tunisia, it was the only affordable brand that was imported there. It's with Bourjois that my interest in make-up, eyeshadows and polishes started.

So when I saw that this new top coat was going to be released, I knew I had to get it! I've been looking for this top coat for a while and I don't know why but I couldn't find it in stores. But lately, I've seen more and more swatches of it, and I had to find it! So during my lunch break, I did many shops and I finally bought it!!!
And as always with Bourjois, I wasn't disappointed! I layered it over a nude beige polish and here's what it looks like !

It's really easy to apply, and you can build your layer without ruining it all. If you do a really thin coat you'll have a very crackeled effect (like on my middle finger), and if you do a thicker coat the scales will be more visible. I love both of the effects, and it's really easier to use than OPI's Black Spotted top coat for instance. It takes a little time for the effect to appear.

I love the texture of this top coat! The fine scales of this python effect give to your nails a unique look! I think that it would look great with a matte top coat over it too.

I think that it's definitely a must have for fall. The color is just perfect for this season.

What do you think about it? Would you buy it if you could? Have you already tried it?
What are you girls up to this weekend?

Kiko Cosmetics - Holographic Nail Lacquer - Jewel Pink

Hey there!

How are you going? Hope everything's fine for you girls!

I already told you how much I loved Kiko's Magnetic nail polishes and when I saw that for their Lavish Oriental collection, they had holographic nail polishes, I felt like I had to get them! When I saw the swatches on some other blogs, I fell in love with the 401 - Peacock Green and the 402 - Jewel Pink. I even asked my brother to buy them for me in Paris, to be sure to have them!! But when I went to Kiko's store in Rennes (next to where I live), and when I saw the two other colors which are the 399 - Silk Taupe and the 400 - Steel Grey, well I didn't resist long, and I bought them. And now I have all of these wonderful polishes! And I love them!!

Aren't these colors gorgeous??
Today we're going to start with the 402 - Jewel Pink. This holographic pink is outstanding! You don't need to apply a specific base before applying this polish (like the aqua base..). I used my standard Essie protein base. Only two coats are necessary to have a nice coverage!

I love how this polish catches the light!! I can't stop looking at my nails!
I decided to try some stamping with the 399 - Silk Taupe and here's the result :

Perfect!! All of these holographic work perfectly for stamping, it's pretty awesome no?
I'm definitely in love with these new polishes and they're totally worth the price : only 4,90€ each.

Did you buy any of these holographic polishes? Do you like the result?

Lime Crime - Les Desserts d'Antoinette - Milky Ways

About a month ago, I fell in love with Nailed It's manicure with the Lime Crime polishes. And I also fell for Milky Ways, the perfect creamy white to me!
In fact, when I saw the entire collection, I loved every single color!! Plus, all the reviews I've seen on the web were pretty positive about these polishes. So I had to try them!
I bought these three colors (I'm on a budget :p) :

And I'll buy the other ones next month :p
These are 3-Free polishes and not tested on animals.

So here's my favorite : Milky Ways

I love the packaging! It's so cute!

The bottle is also very pretty and I love that matte glass!

This color is really easy to apply, and from the first coat you already know that only two coats will be necessary to have a complete opaque finish!
I also love the formula of this polish and it dries pretty quickly once painted on your nails. But as usual, I did use a top coat :)

I knew Lime Crime for their beauty products, and now that they're also doing nail polishes I love them a little more!! These pastel colors are really gorgeous and the fact that you have an opaque finish in two coats is awesome.

Did you buy Lime Crime polishes? What do you think about them?

Summer Nails, Del Sol Nails

Today I wanted to show you one of my favorite polish from Del Sol which is Ruby Slipper. As I told you, the sun has been reported missing here, But I don't care, because this mani doesn't need Mr Sun to look nice!
I put 2 coats of Essie's white nail polish Blanc, and 2 coats of Rubby Slipper. So here are my nails.

I know what you're thinking right now, especially if you don't know Del Sol polishes : "What the heck is going on?? Is this even a mani??". Let me take my UV-Lamp and dip my fingers in it and show you :

Tadaaa :

And now I have bright ruby nails! This color changing polish is definitely my favorite. The difference is very noticeable! I have three other polishes from the same brand, but you need to apply at least three coats of them to get something even, and it takes a long time to dry, and the effect is not as visible as this one! But here are the polishes :

So if you had to buy one of Del Sol polishes I would definitely recommend Ruby Slipper, and the ones with glitter, because they seem to be more pigmented thant the other ones. I really like how your nails look under the sunlight. Plus, you don't need to have a sunny weather to wear this nails. as the polish reacts with UV's. So even when it's cloudy, once your nails are exposed to some UV's your polish color will change!

What do you think of color changing polishes? What other brands would you recommend me to try?

A England - Saint George

Yesterday, I had to work at one of our customer's office, so I had to have classy nails.
In my last order on Bec & Ongles there were some A England nail polishes I was waiting for!
But let me tell you about my new base first. It's not a new product, but I bought it only a few weeks ago. It's OPI Ridge Filler. Once you apply this base on your nails, you'll immediately notice the difference. It gives your nails an uniform surface, on which you can apply whatever nail polish you want. I've been trying it with different brands and each time, the polishes I applied over it stuck to my nail like never before. I love it and I advise you to give it a try!

Let's now talk about the polish I've been waiting for which is Saint George from A England. I have an OPI which looks almost the same, but there's not comparison to make here. Saint George is way more pigmented, and has way more dimension. When you put your nails in the sun, you're just sparkling, really!!
But no more talking let's see the pictures :

I've seen pictures from Odile Sacoche which made me want to get Tristam from the same brand! I already have Avalon which is a magnificient purple that I'll show later ;)
Did you try these A England nail polishes?? What did you think about it? Are there any colors you would advise me to buy?

OPI - Black Spotted

Hi :)

Did you hear about this Black Spotted polish from OPI? It hasn't been released everywhere but here in France we have it !! For once we have something that's cool and exclusive! So glad!
I bought mine from Sephora's website as I didn't manage to find it in stores...

When I swatched it for the first time, I had mixed feelings. I didn't know if I was liking to like it or not.
My first advice to you is to properly select the base you're going to use before applying it. If you want something discrete go for a dark colored base, but if you want the little spotted designs to show, go for a light and shiny base.

This polish, contrary to the Black Shatter from the same brand, is very fluid and is very easy to apply. It's also easy to apply a really thin coat. As written on the little note which goes with the polish : "Apply a VERY THIN coat over completely dry lacquer. Finish with Top Coat". And really the thinner the coat will be, better the result will be. I tried it with I'm Not Really A Waitress as a base :

As I wasn't convinced with the result, I tried to try it with Good As Gold from Essie.
And this time not only I loved it, but I realized how much potential it has! I can't tell you how much I like this new polish! I'm definitely going to swatch it on different bases, and I'll show you the pictures, just to see what goes with this magic thing!

I like it better than the shatter one. What do you think about it? Are you going to buy it when it is available? For those of you who could buy it, did you like it? From what I know, unfortunately, it won't be available in the US...

I'll be back soon :)

Essie - Mirror Metallics

As I told you on sunday, I was really inspired by the triangle nails thing.
I recently bought two polishes from Essie's collection Mirror Metallics. I don't know about you, but personnally, I was only attracted to Nothing Else Metals and Good as Gold. I don't really like the other ones. When I went to the store to get them I swatched the other colors from the collection, but my first feeling was totally the good one. So I bought the two colors I wanted =)
The first polish I wanted to play with is the Nothing Else Metals one, with it's pinkish reflects.
I hesitated between doing some stamping, or something triangle related, and I chose triangles!

I don't regret buying them at all. They're really easy to apply, and they're opaque with only one coat. As always, I did two coats, but I didn't need it!
They're so pigmented that I'm sure they'll be great for stamping. This is definitely a good buy!!
Did you buy any of these colors? What are the ones you prefer?

In the Mood for Neon - Day 1

Today was really sunny outside and it made me in the mood for an orange neon nail style!
To make the orange neon pop a little more, I used a white base coat.
Here are the details :
  • 1 coat of Essie’s All in One Base
  • 1 coat of OPI’s Alpine Snow
  • 2 coats of Color Club’s nail polish in Wham!Pow!
  • 1 coat of Essie’s Top Coat Good to Go
I really like the way it turned out.
Do you like neon colors? :)
